Right around 5 p.m. Wednesday evening, sirens could be heard around town. Scanners were going off. Dispatchers were communicating.
What had happened?
According to information being reported, it sounded like there was a plane crash. That’s what it looked like to Joe Berry, too, who was letting his dog run near the Lewistown Municipal Airport at the time of the commotion.
“The next thing I know there’s an ambulance, a sheriff’s deputy, a fire truck and some other vehicles headed up the hill, and I’m thinking, ‘gotta be a plane crash,’” Berry said.
