On Monday, June 27, the Fergus Conservation District and the Lewistown NRCS will host "A Day in the Field" event. Those who come and participate will be able to witness and see firsthand what all the cover crop and soil health buzz is about. There'll be a chance to tour two local farms with producers on hand to answer questions. In addition, there will be a double disk drill and stripper header on site. Marni Thompson, NRCS area resource conservationist, and Joyce Trevithick, NRCS area agronomist will present basic soil health and a rainfall simulator demonstration.
